As the summer solstice ushers in the longest day of the year, Lone Tree Brewing Company in Parker, Colorado, is set to tantalize taste buds with a special treat. This year, they’re introducing a juicy twist to their iconic Hop Zombie Imperial IPA. Exclusively available at their lively taproom for just one day, this brand-new rendition promises a tropical explosion that perfectly complements its robust 10% ABV. Beer enthusiasts visiting BreweriesNearMe.us will find Lone Tree Brewing to be a must-visit destination for this extraordinary event.
One Day Only Release
Lone Tree Brewing is celebrating the 13th anniversary of their beloved Hop Zombie with its first-ever juicy version. Lead brewer Dale Hollars excitedly describes this iteration as a juicy medley of stone fruit, ripe peaches, lime, and citrus—flavors that will only be available to fans for one exclusive day, June 21. Visitors to the Parker taproom can enjoy this limited-edition brew on tap or take it home in cans, but with anticipation running high, supplies are expected to dwindle quickly.
Popping Juiciness & High ABV
While the original Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA is known for its piney, resinous bitterness, this year’s juicy variant takes a bold new direction. By incorporating Nugget, Strata, and cryo Motueka hops, Hollars has crafted a vibrant ester profile, rich with stone fruit and tangerine notes, thanks in part to the thiolized American Ale yeast. This experimental brew was further enhanced with a triple dry-hop technique using over 75 pounds of hops, resulting in heightened flavor and a slightly higher ABV, yet balanced with an IBU around 50.
Special Release Day Planned
Lone Tree Brewing has added a whimsical touch to their release with the Sandlot movie-inspired artwork, featuring the phrase “You’re killing me, Zombie!” For early visitors, the taproom opened its doors at 11 a.m., offering the first ten lucky beer lovers a complimentary glass. To add to the festivities, the 2 Salty Sarge food truck will be on-site, serving delicious ballpark-style fare. Fear not, Hop Zombie loyalists—Hollars has assured fans that the classic version will return this fall.
